Artist Ernst Billgren now launches exclusive versions of the dessert Smash the Piggy Bank in collaboration with Bonnie’s at Bank Hotel. For a limited time, four new interpretations inspired by his distinctive artistic expression will be served. A portion of the proceeds from each dessert will be donated to the charity Lilla Vilthuset Viltrehabilitering.
Since the opening of Bonnie’s at Bank Hotel, Smash the Piggy Bank has been a signature dish, a chocolate pig filled with sweets that guests smash at the table. Now, it is reimagined through Ernst Billgren’s artistic lens.
“Smash the Piggy Bank makes all other desserts boring,” says Ernst Billgren.
Ernst’s versions are presented in four different flavours, inspired by his artwork. They are flavoured with blueberry, lingonberry, raspberry or sea buckthorn, creating a surprise for each guest. Each dessert is served with spruce shoot ice cream, sponge cake and topped with caramel sauce. An additional surprise awaits, as a select number of chocolate pigs contain a Golden Ticket, offering the chance to win a one-night stay for two at Bank Hotel.
For every dessert sold, 35 SEK is donated to Lilla Vilthuset Viltrehabilitering, a non-profit organisation chosen by Ernst, dedicated to rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife and returning them to nature.
Ernst Billgren’s versions of Smash the Piggy Bank launch on March 30 and will be available for a limited time.
