Svenskt Tenn was founded in 1924 by Estrid Ericson, who recruited Josef Frank to the company 10 years later. Together they created the elegant and boldly patterned personal interior design style that continues to pervade the range to this day.

The Royal Swedish Opera

Built by the Swedish king Gustav III in 1773. The Royal Opera is the main national scene for opera and ballet, it shows sets of everything from brand new productions to classical vintage masterpieces.

Parks

If you feel like having a walk or picnic, Stockholm is full of hidden gems! Two of the biggest, nearest parks are Humlegården and Kungsträdgården. Humlegården is more of a green park and Kungsträdgården is a park where a lot of events are held.

Boats to the archipelago

Take advantage of Stockholm being so close to the water! At Nybrokajen, a few meters away from Bank Hotel, you can take boats out to the archipelago. You can take a short boat trip of only 20 minutes to Fjäderholmarna for lunch. For a longer day trip, you can always go to Vaxholm with a boat trip of 3 hours.

The Hallwyl Museum

A palace that became a museum at the turn of the century 1900. The collector Wilhelmina von Hallwyl had one of Sweden's largest collections of arts and crafts. There is a great outdoor seating area and bar in the courtyard during summer at Hallwylska.

Nordiska Kompaniet

The doors to the luxury department store on Hamngatan in Stockholm opened in 1915. Nordiska Kompaniet is known for their great service, luxury brands and their extraordinary Christmas decorations during the holidays. Here you can find anything you want and if you’re lacking inspiration you can always book your own personal shopper.

Eataly

Eataly found a home in the historic Röda Kvarn cinema, located at the one of the most vibrant areas of the city and the most exclusive shopping district. Built to create a connection between Italian food and Swedish gastronomic culture, merging Italian cuisine with local traditions.

Sturegallerian

A broad range of fancy stores and chic restaurants, here you can find everything you want. The mall is tastefully decorated and feels very luxurious. There are also nightclubs and bars in the mall which are open late at night.

The Royal Castle

The castle is built in baroque style by the architect Nicodemus Tessin junior. The castle is used as the main residence for the royal couple, but also as a workplace for the royal family. There are three museums in the castle and one floor of their living space is open for visitors.

Rosendals Garden Café

Visit Rosendals Garden Café to enjoy coffee surrounded by sustainable growth and beautiful flowers. The café has organic and biodynamic ingredients in their food and a lot of it comes from their own garden. Get a taste of the calming Swedish countryside only a few minutes away from the Stockholm city pulse.

The Museum of Photography

Photography is always the centerpiece at The Museum of Photography at Stadsgårdshamnen 22. Within its massive space, this terrific museum offers four major exhibits a year with 15 to 20 smaller shows in between. Experience the art of taking pictures in ways that you’ve never imagined. You can also enjoy concerts, food and classes in this popular gathering spot.

Dramaten

Sweden's national theater has been the venue for the greatest actors and directors for over 130 years. The theater also has a great terrace restaurant and bar with a sunny location and a view over the water in Nybroviken.
